Located in the charming surroundings of Canal Alto, Tacua's Ranch is more than just an American restaurant; it’s an entire family experience. Renowned for its welcoming ambiance reminiscent of a Texan ranch, this eatery offers not just delicious food but engaging activities for kids, including feeding farm animals, a tractor ride, and horseback riding.
Patrons rave about the brisket, a delightfully juicy and smoky dish that has captured the hearts of many, even those who didn’t anticipate visiting for the cuisine. Diners appreciate the BBQ ribs, noted for their exceptional flavor, while the frijoles charros are often deemed worth a second helping. While some have pointed out issues with certain cuts like the ribeye having excess nerve, the overall flavor and satisfaction seem to overshadow minor setbacks.
The ranch's family-friendly environment, complete with an assortment of animals and rustic decor, makes it a perfect spot for leisurely meals and celebrations. Just a heads-up, it can get busy, especially during peak hours, leading to longer wait times. Overall, Tacua's Ranch is a hidden gem that is absolutely worth the drive.

Reviews for Tacua's Ranch
Review highlights
Based on 162 reviewsTacua's Ranch is widely recognized as a family-oriented destination combining an American restaurant with a children's farm experience. Visitors appreciate the unique blend of activities such as feeding animals, tractor rides, and horseback riding, making it especially popular for families with young children. The food, highlighted by dishes like brisket and BBQ ribs, receives praise for its flavorful and authentic Texan-inspired preparation, though some note occasional variability in certain cuts of meat. The relaxed atmosphere and farm setting contribute to its appeal, though a common point of feedback is the extended wait times during peak hours. Overall, Tacua's Ranch is valued for its comprehensive, enjoyable outing that goes beyond typical dining.
Didn't go for the food so I wouldn't know. It did look good though. They also rent a section for children's parties. Kids love the horses.
